THE HISTORY OF THE COMPANY

1976
This is the foundation year for SEI "Studio di elettronica ed informatica". SEI is an engineering firm that develops applications based on micro controls and electronic modules, supplying hundreds of customers in a wide variety of industrial sectors. The firm transformed into a capital company in just a few years as a natural industrial development of previous experience. It began design and production of flat-bed machines such as Cartesian plotters for drawing and cutting applications plus three-dimensional work centers for milling and engraving and water jet cutting centers for applications in many industrial sectors.

1986
SEI Automation, the Group's machining division, was founded this year in order to meet constantly growing production requirements.

1988
SEI consolidated its position on the market and became a Joint-Stock Company. It startsed developing its first laser technology machines for cutting and marking. These machines now constitute the predominant part of its current production. SEI, thanks to its sensitivity to market needs, the expertise of its Research and Development Department and its excellent mass-production capabilities, can offer a mix of products that can meet the needs of a widespread and multi-sectorial demand.

1999
SEI S.p.A. and SEI Automazione received ISO9001 certification as they made customer-satisfaction their priority goal.
